Larry Cohen and Eoin Macken cancelled for Monster Fest
We’ve recently received the word that Larry Cohen will not be able to make the trip down under due to ill health – Eoin Macken (THE INSIDE) has also had to cancel due to a clash with his work commitments.
This is obviously very sad news for Monster Fest, particularly so considering the news that Larry is unwell.
The ticket prices for THE STUFF, MANIAC COP and THE INSIDE have been reduced to regular session prices ($14.00 concession/$18.00 full).
For those who have already purchased tickets we will personally contact you with some value add to make you smile again.
Laurene Landon will still be visiting us at Monster Fest which is fantastic news. Laurene will appear at opening night and The Night of the Women event with Elvira and the Soska Sisters.
In lieu of the Larry Cohen masterclasses Brisbane cult movie aficionado Andrew Leavold (the man the call “Stumpy”) will be hosting a panel of local horror boffins who’ll discuss the legacy of Larry Cohen and his films.
Sorry to crush your hopes Monsterettes but Eoin Macken can’t make it down under, however as one sex symbol departs…
…another one takes his place – Australia’s favorite b-flick expert, the one and only ANDREW LEAVOLD!!
Once again Dear Monsterites, we are extremely disappointed that neither Larry or Eoin can make it here folks and we apologise profusely for any inconvenience caused as a result. The festival continues though folks with Elvira, Laurene Landon, Alex Chandon, The Soska Sisters, Gorlesque and a veritable who’s who of new Australian genre – yes it’s a bummer but as they say in the classics, THAT’S SHOWBIZ!
