Tidbit news on AREA 51 (the film) and the new LEPRECHAUN film
Some news tidbits are coming your way …. let’s start with AREA 51, not the actual place (which we now know exists) but the film.
Oren Peli the man behind the original PARANORMAL ACTIVITY announced quite some time ago that his next film would be an alien flick AREA 51. But we’ve heard absolutely nothing about, well some news has come out about and in fact the film got made.
The films producer Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions who produced PARANORMAL ACTIVITY as well, gave a small update on the film recently.
“It exists! We made it! We’re futzing with the movie in post production. Paranormal Activity, remember, it was made about four years before it came out, so Oren likes to tinker, and he’s still tinkering, but hopefully one day we’ll both see the finished version!”
So maybe we’ll get to see this film sometime in the near future, no one really knew it had been shot or that it was in post! Interesting, let’s hope this one sees the light of day some time soon eh.

The next tidbit we have is about the film LEPRECHAUN: ORIGINS
Now yes this is a picture of WWE’s Hornswoggle and he isn’t pictured because he’s a wrestling leprechaun, but he is starring in the film. Well not the character of Hornswoggle but the man who is Hornswoggle Dylan Postl. Just like other wrestlers he’s getting into films following in the footsteps of Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Kane, Randy Orton, The Miz, Triple H and ect ect.
ANYWAYS, the big update on the film is that it has actually been shot and like the film we talked about above, no one knew. It is now in post production and its US release date is set for February 28th next year.
Dylan Postl will star alongside the newly announced cast of Stephanie Bennett, Teach Grant, Bruce Blain and Adam Boys. The film was directed by Zach Lipovsky and written by Matt Venne and Harris Wilkinson. The plot is being kept secret, but one might imagine it would be around a killer leprechaun?
Question is will Hornswoggle be as good as Warwick Davis in the role?
