Boom! The trailer for the ROBOCOP remake is finally here!

Fans across the board have been pretty pissed off that the classic and still very relevant Paul Verhoeven film ROBOCOP has gotten the remake treatment.

This was announced awhile ago, and the set pictures that showed up did not impress the masses either. Well now you can get a good look at it, as the first official trailer has been released.

For me personally I was underwhelmed and I was reminded of the very poor remake of TOTAL RECALL, it seems to have very much missed the point. At least it has a strong supporting cast that includes Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton! But that is how I feel on first glance. Others may feel differently of course, so fiends you can make up your own mind.

Are you yey or ney on this one? Scope out the trailer below guys.

SYNOPSIS: n RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Overseas, their drones have been used by the military for years – and it’s meant billions for OmniCorp’s bottom line. Now OmniCorp wants to bring their controversial technology to the home front, and they see a golden opportunity to do it. When Alex Murphy (Joel Kinnaman) – a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit – is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer. OmniCorp envisions a RoboCop in every city and even more billions for their shareholders, but they never counted on one thing: there is still a man inside the machine pursuing justice.
