WE ARE WHAT WE ARE remake trailer is actually pretty good!
We all know if a foreign film has a really good and successful film it is going to get remade in America and of course that is what has happened with 2010’s SOMOS LO QUE HAY aka WE ARE WHAT WE ARE from Mexico.
The film has had the American remake treatment and to be perfectly honest it actually looks pretty good as the trailer has premiered.
I admit it isn’t often when I do say a remake actually looks good, generally I find they miss the point but this kind of gives hope actually.
Jim Mickle is the director and this one stars Kelly McGillis, Ambyr Childers, Odeya Rush, Wyatt Russell, Julia Garner, Bill Sage and Michael Parks.

Synopsis: A seemingly wholesome and benevolent family, the Parkers have always kept to themselves, and for good reason. Behind closed doors, patriarch Frank rules his family with a rigorous fervor, determined to keep his ancestral customs intact at any cost. As a torrential rainstorm moves into the area, tragedy strikes and his daughters Iris and Rose are forced to assume responsibilities that extend beyond those of a typical family. The most important task that the girls face is putting meat on the table— but not the kind that can be found at the local supermarket. As the unrelenting downpour continues to flood their small town, the local authorities begin to uncover clues that bring them closer to the secret that the Parkers have held closely for so many years.
