The Monsters Eye, Roger Corman, vritually heroes
Roger Corman is at it again with VIRTUALLY HEROES
“Roger Corman’s shameless gamer film with Mark Hamill.”
That is the tagline for VIRTUALLY HEROES, a new film produced by Roger Corman. We love Roger Corman around these parts, he really is a living legend.
This one is attention grabbing for that Mark Hamill factor, because he too is well loved around these parts (have you seen his amazing performance in SUSHI GIRLS? Amazing!).
The film was an official selection for Sundance 2013, it also stars Robert Baker, Brent Chase, Katie Savoy and Ben Messmer. It was directed by G.J. Echternkamp and written by Matt Yamashita,
SYNOPSIS: Sgt. Books is pissed.
He knows he’s a character in a shitty “Call of Duty” style video game, with absurdly powerful bosses, redundant battles, and endless supplies of virtual Vietcong.
But he can’t get the pretty journalist at the end of each level and he can’t get through to his gung-ho partner, Nova, who thinks being in a game is awesome (especially if he can find the secret level rated M for Mature).
So with the help of MARK HAMILL’s straight-talking Monk, Books is going rogue.
And of course we do have a trailer, so you can check that out too. Unfortunately we can’t find much in the way of any release around here, but its worth keeping on the radar.
