The Green Inferno’s Big Screen Adventure!

Remember that time that we had Eli Roth’s cannibal opus THE GREEN INFERNO scheduled to play at Monster Fest, and then at the last minute the film had to be pulled because of a contract dispute between Roth and the US distributors? Thank Christ that shit’s over! Finally the big screens of Australia will get their chance to part their curtains and flash audiences (at 24fps) a truly shocking piece of genre cinema thanks to the awesome folks at Pinnacle Films and Monster Fest (That’s us, yay!).

You know the story already, right, I mean, you’ve been waiting for this baby for a year now, but just in case, here’s a brief summary of events… A bunch of goody-two-shoes teens and twenty-somethings head of to the rain forrest to protest something or protect something or whatever, who gives a shit, and then they get seriously fucked up by cannibals! Sounds good huh? Damn right it does! Inspired by the Italian cannibal classics of the 70’s and 80’s, Roth’s fourth feature received an R rating in the US for ‘aberrant violence and torture, grisly disturbing images, brief graphic nudity, sexual content, language and some drug use’ – or what we like to call ‘A fun Saturday night at Monster Fest HQ’

So why not join us this Halloween, Saturday the 31st of October at the following cinemas at the following times and enjoy some people-eatin’ goodness with us. You know you want to!

Official Synopsis

Fan favorite Eli Roth makes the long-awaited return to the director’s chair with THE GREEN INFERNO. The brilliantly twisted mind who brought you Hostel, Cabin Fever and The Last Exorcism is back to take you on the most grueling and terrifying (and at time hilarious) thrill-ride yet.

The Green Inferno follows a group of student activists who travel from New York City to the Amazon to save a tribe from extinction. In an unfortunate twist of fate, when the group arrives, they are taken hostage by the very cannibals they sought to protect.
