BAISE-MOI banned … AGAIN!?!

Posted by on | 1 Comment

We here at Monster Pictures will fucking jump up and down for pure joy when the day comes when films stopped getting banned, and continuously banned!

Monster is no stranger to controversy and issues with the censors, so when news of a film getting banned again comes up, you bet we are not impressed.

So … BAISE-MOI a film that has been banned before, is now banned again. This really makes no sense, and we have no idea what this means for its up coming tv debut with World Movies on August 23rd for their Films That Shocked The World series.

baisemoi

Can we say take a damn chill pill, everyone who has wanted to see it has probably seen it by now, banning films only gets people to reach to illegal means to see it. The films are meant for adults, who apparently can’t be trusted to make judgements on what they can and cannot not. Even if you don’t want to watch the film, we should have the option to.

Anyway with that rant, Refused-Classification has has posted the reason for the banning *sigh*

On August 12, 2013, a 74m DVD of BAISE-MOI was again banned. The reason given was:

Film 1(a) The film is classified RC in accordance with the National Classification Code, Films Table, 1. (a) as films that “depict, express or otherwise deal with matters of sex, drug misuse or addiction, crime, cruelty, violence or revolting or abhorrent phenomena in such a way that they offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults to the extent that they should not be classified.”

Potential Films were the applicant.

It really makes no sense anymore …
