Get details for Oz Horror Con’s sponsored screening of HELLRAISER 1 & 2

I am sure there are those of you who know about Oz Horror Con, the good folks put on a really fun Horror Convention earlier this year (with Monster Pictures having a stall naturally) and they are keeping up with the events.

Back in August they hosted a screening of NIGHTBREED the Cabal Cut, and they have another screening scheduled for January, featuring more Clive Barker goodness.

So what’s on order, a double of HELLRAISER 1 & 2 of course! Neat eh?

All Female Horror Anthology Announced

In the last few hours, it’s just been announced that a new horror anthology, XX, is being put in production by MPI/Dark Sky Films and XYZ Films. Why the name XX? Well, each film will be directed by a female director and have a female lead.

Producer Todd Brown (The Raid: Redemption) had this to say: “One of the givens of so many horror films has been the objectification of young women, and we thought it was time for a different approach to scaring audiences and letting the female voice be heard.

A new VS. film is coming, featuring two 90’s creature features!

So what 90’s creature features are coming back in the form of a VS film?

Oh just ANACONDA and LAKE PLACID, in LAKE PLACID VS. ANACONDA!

I am not kidding folks, STYD got the info for this epic film. We have no plot details, perhaps the lake invades the anacondas? Meh who cares, this is going to be a must see!

We do know that this will actually begin shooting some time soon, so it has the green light to go ahead.

Jim Jarmusch isn’t a name you’d normally associate with the vampire genre, but the name has now dipped his feet into the pool and has come back with ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE.
