News aplenty at this year’s San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) from the surprise revelation by Lionsgate of Adam Wingard’s latest feature to more terror on your TV screen with a myriad of fresh trailers.

The breakout news that flooded every genre-enthusiast’s social media feed over the weekend, is that the latest feature from Adam Winguard (YOU’RE NEXT, THE GUEST), THE WOODS is in fact the second sequel to 1999’s THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. Titled BLAIR WITCH, the film like the original is a found footage affair where James (James Allen McCune) leads a group of friends into the ominous woods of Burkittsville in hopes of finding his sister, assumedly Heather from the first film. Roadshow Films will be handling the film’s local theatrical here in Australia and we’re anticipating a September release.

KONG: SKULL ISLAND had its first trailer reveal and looks genuinely spectacular. Taking place in the same universe as Gareth Edward’s 2014 GODZILLA, KONG: SKULL ISLAND will open in cinemas March 9th of next year, followed in March 2019 by GODZILLA 2 and in May 2020 we’ll finally see the cinematic behemoths pitted against one another in GODZILLA VS. KONG.

Trailers abound for terror on your TV screen with THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 7, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 2 (PART 2) & THE EXORCIST among many to premiere at SDCC.
